“ This place is amazing! Love, love, love all the decor & how they used old farm equipment to decorate (feed buckets for lights over some of the tables, a gorgeous chandelier made of wrought iron & mason jars, tools for door handles, etc. And the food! We came for breakfast - literally the best biscuits and gravy I’ve had - delicious sausage gravy, homemade sausage patties on top, then more gravy! ”
“ We went on a weekend night, right before mother's day..... So the wait was to be expected. I've driven by it a few times and told the wife we should try it sometime. The wait was well worth the food and even though it was packed, we got our food quickly (all things considered) and the wait staff was amazing. Best of all, the food was amazing and it's one of the few times that the entire family went home happy (3 picky kids). The slop bucket nachos are a must.... But either order them if they are an appetizer for an entire table or if you are sharing them with someone else as a meal. They are delicious but it's a big order that we took home and ate on for another day or two.... Not that this was a bad thing.... They were still good as leftovers. ”
“ If you're looking for a delightful dining experience in Burrton, Kansas, look no further than this charming Barn restaurant! Known for its delicious pies and friendly staff, this place truly embodies the essence of small-town dining. The menu is refreshingly simple, featuring a variety of options from burgers to salads, but the star of the show is undoubtedly the chicken fried steak. I had the pleasure of trying the chicken fried steak dinner, and it did not disappoint. The steak was perfectly cooked, boasting a golden brown, crunchy, flaky crust that was seasoned just right. Each bite was tender and moist, generously smothered in rich country gravy. It's a rare treat to find a restaurant that can master such a classic dish. The ambiance was equally enjoyable, with a spacious dining room adorned in charming country farm decor. Our lovely waitress added to the overall experience with her warm hospitality. I can't wait to return and indulge in more of their wonderful offerings, especially those famous pies! This barn restaurant is a hidden gem that deserves a visit. ”
“ Decided to make the drive to Burrton ks to eat at the" Barn" the food was good. However, I didn't see anyone eating prime rib, which i heard they had, but didn't witttnes. The chicken fry was excellent. Mac n cheese was good. The rolls were so so..... overall experience was this place makes good food. The wait staff we had could have been a little better, but hey! It ended with dessert. That made for a great evening of dining with the fam! ”
“ First time trying out The Barn and I’m so glad we finally did! We drove in from Wichita on a Saturday night without a reservation. Our wait for two was 30-40 minutes and honestly, we didn’t feel like it was that long. We waited at the bar. Bartenders were friendly! Finally got sat. We started out with chips, salsa and queso. The salsa was SO fresh and the queso was so delicious. We then ordered the chicken fried steak and the sirloin for entrees. My steak was a little overcooked, as I did request medium rare but it was still pretty good for being well. Chicken fried steak was so yummy! We were full but just had to top off the evening with a slice of the chocolate peanut butter cake and boy, am I glad we did! Soooo delicious! Our server was fantastic and so sweet! We will definitely add The Barn on our rotating list of restaurants to dine at. Highly recommend. ”
“ The Barn in Burrton is a true gem, especially for being basically in the middle of nowhere. There are plenty of food options with reasonable prices all wrapped up in a very creative and visually pleasing atmosphere. After I returned home, a friend said that she particularly likes an item on the dessert menu. "Wait...what dessert menu?" Sorry I missed out on that part, but maybe next time. ”
“ If you enjoy comfort food this is your kinda place. The chicken fried chicken bowl was scrumptious. It reflects the small town feel well. The burgers (great variety) looked really good! Our server was very friendly & attentive. The prices were reasonable (for these days). My ONLY small request would be to re varnish the booth tables as the coating isn't holding up well. I can't wait to go again & try something else or maybe I've just found my favorite comfort food go to. Yumm! ”
“ Finally got to experience The Barn today... definitely worth the short drive from Wichita! The atmosphere has the perfectly unique rustic country vibe we enjoy. The soda pop was crisp and refreshing. We ordered the Farmburger (perfectly cooked) with corn nuggets, fried pickles (pleasantly spicy), buffalo boneless wings (yay for more meat than breading) and fries, and slop bucket nachos (really good salsa, lots of topping and huge portion). Everything was satisfyingly delicious!! We will return! ”
